This tends to suppot her credibiilty. If she wasn’t attacked as alleged, it’s hard to see why she’d want to file charges that could get her killed. Even the chance of a big payoff might not be enough, since she couldn’t take the money with her after an honor killing.
Unless she has been westernized enough and does not practice. She isn’t from the middle east. Unfortunately, rape in many African countries has become out of control (such as the Congo).
