I have no vested interest in Rick Perry as governor of TX, as I reside in MA. I haven't listened to more than 30 seconds of the guy speaking, so I've hardly been charmed. I'm looking at a practical answer to stopping Obama from winning again.

Who can win then? Because the majority of the choices we currently have are stiffs that are destined for defeat.

I agree absolutely with everything you say, and I have no answers as yet. Seems many of us are looking for somebody to ride in on that mythical white horse.

There are no perfect candidates, and I know whoever I eventually back will not agree with me on everything. Moreover, no President can foresee what challenges his term will endure. Therefore, character, courage, and conservative values, and a respect for the Constitution are more important to me than talking points on issues.

Experience and administrative experience matter, too, with a track record of doing, not just saying. Therefore, I want to hear from those who have lived under Pawlenty and Daniels before I make my mind up about them. They both seem to be authentic and effective, but I’m watching from afar.

Our field is too thin.
