Pakistan's ambassador to China says Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani's warm words about his country's relationship with Beijing are not indicative of a shift away from the U.S.
Ambassador Masood Khan tells VOA that Islamabad believes good relations with both the U.S. and China are needed to eliminate terrorism and extremism.
Gilani told China's official Xinhua news agency that China is his country's "best and most trusted friend." Gilani also praised China for supporting Islamabad following the U.S. raid that killed terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden.
The Pakistani prime minister spoke ahead of a four-day visit to China to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

That is partially Official Snit, partially Who Will Give Me Better Weapons?
If the US/Pakistan relations weaken will US/Indian relations strengthen to the same degree?
Oh, and BTW, was the helicopter tail section satisfactory?
Pakistan's ambassador to China says Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani's warm words about his country's relationship with Beijing are not indicative of a shift away from the U.S.The ISI's giving US stealth helicopter technology to China, and the Pakistani army's shooting at US forces is a different story, however.
This is the result of O’s so called intelligent diplomacy.
He just had to spike the football. This is the result.
Couldn’t keep his mouth shut, just had to talkie talkie talkie when silence would have been golden.
OBL is dead, here’s the picture. There will be no further comment.
That would have been the smart thing to do, but the Princess Boy just had to make it all about him. Hah, gutsy?????
US + India > Pak + China
For Pakistan, it’s been a simple technique-get freebies from the Yanks, buy the heavy duty stuff from the Chicoms.
As another Freeper pointed out, the US sends ‘borrowed Chinese’ money as aid to a country which uses it to buy Chinese weaponry.
In the last few days two stories—U.S. plans to seize Pakistan's nuclear arsenal should the Taliban take over, and the U.S. strike force that was poised to hit Pakistan if they interfered with the Bin Laden raid—were leaked to the news media. This seemed calculated to further inflame the Paks. I'm wondering if Obamas’s way out of Afghanistan is to alienate Pakistan to the point that they choke off the supply route running from the Port of Karachi to U.S. forces in Afghanistan. Trying to resupply 100,000 troops by air would be a logistical nightmare, making evacuation inevitable. Or he may be trying to destabilize the current civilian government to allow the military to move back into control. But I'm guessing here.
Here’s another truth: How about after ten years in Afghanistan that we get the frak out and then end all our ties to Pakistan? We have a better and more trusted ally in India. =.=
This administration is as inept as the Carter cabal. It’s a terrifying scenario because clearly he has no idea of the possible consequences. Everything is political and nothing is logical or intelligent.
It’s clear now that the aftermath of the obl killing has been horribly handled.
They have jeopardized our own national security, our troops in the entire middle east, and increased the possibility of a nuke strike or accident.
