President Obama spent last night the way he spends many nights: hustling for $30,000 and $50,000 checks from wealthy donors at a fancy hotel. CNN passed along this detail from the White House:
helping to introduce Obama is Ernie Green, a member of the "Little Rock Nine," a group of African-Americans who in 1957 were the first black students ever to attend classes at Little Rock Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Truly impressive. But CNN didn't include other seemingly relevant facts about Ernie Green. He was a director at Wall St. giant Lehman Brothers, where he worked on public finance. He also pleaded guilty in 2002 to charges brought by the Justice Department's Campaign Financing Task Force. Politico's Josh Gerstein recounts the tale:
In the 1990s, Green, a Lehman Brothers investment banker, had a series of business dealings with Yah Lin "Charlie" Trie. Trie was a Little Rock businessman at the center of the scandal over foreign-source financial donations to Democratic campaigns and causes in the 1996 election.
Federal prosecutors and Congressional investigators were suspicious of a series of cash deposits Green made to his bank totaling about $30,000 around the same time he donated $50,000 to the Democratic National Committee. The donation apparently earned an invite for Green and a Chinese arms dealer, Wang Jun, to a White House "coffee" with Clinton.
Nice to know Obama has such people helping him raise money.
Good fundraisers are hard to find, especially ones who you can use 40 to life jail time to motivate them to fill your war chest.

In 2008, all 5 defendants in the Holy Land Foundation trial were convicted on 108 counts of financing terrorists and terror organizations.
But two years later, Assistant Attorney General David Kris, an Obama Regime Department of Justice political appointee, ordered the withdrawal of indictments against CAIR co-founder Omar Ahmad and other KNOWN terror financiers. Although named as un-indicted co-conspirators—along with CAIR itself—in the Holy Land case, their long anticipated prosecutions will not go forward.
“From a purely legal point of view, the case was solid,” said a Department of Justice source. “There’s a mountain of evidence against all of these groups that was never introduced during the Holy Land trial and it’s damning.” “We’ve got them on wiretap.”
So why did Ahmad and current CAIR executive director Nihad Awad, both “caught on FBI wiretaps attending a 1993 meeting of Hamas leaders...” escape prosecution?
According to the DOJ source, “...it was a political decision from the get-go...”
“Not only would these Muslim groups and their friends in the media be screaming ‘Islamophobia’ at the top of their lungs,...the administration would look like absolute fools.” For two years, the Obama Regime has staged showy award presentations to Muslim groups for their supposed assistance in the battle against terrorism.
“How would Holder explain that when we’re carting off these prominent Islamic leaders in handcuffs for their role in a terror finance conspiracy we’ve been investigating for years,” the source continues.
But beyond the purely political, we are warned of a far more serious danger posed by the radical left. “Many of the people I work with at Justice now see CAIR not just as political allies, but as ideological allies.” “They believe they are fighting the same revolution,” the DOJ source adds…

Where did the Democrats get all of this money? They accuse Republicans of being the party of the rich.
You keep doing what works. Why it still works is an embarassment for the media and press to explain, since they never seem to hold anyone to anything in the democrat party. I guess bomb throwing gets good ratings and sells newspapers.
