The Affordable Care Act of 2010 employs three major organizational principles: Affordable Care Organizations (ACOs), consolidation of health insurance companies (over time), and Health Insurance Exchanges. The end goal is obvious: A complete federal takeover of individual health care.
This 8-page research article lays out the factual basis for the role played by the Exchange to defeat individual liberty.
Definitely worth the read, even if you do have to open the pdf to do it.

Maybe we could ask the moderators for the possibility of their doing it on a basis of making submissions to them and leaving it to their judgment & approval, as to whether or not all FreeRep users would receive Emails with links for it; using criteria such as the exceptional quality of the source and the material, and the importance of the issue.
I only had to read 1/3 of the way into page two before it told me that Obamacare IS Romneycare...

And folks need to remember that RomneyCare had its genesis at the Heritage Foundation.
With "conservatives" like that, who needs "liberals"?

The Heritage Foundation, one of the leading conservative think tanks — which has historically provided many of the policy ideas for the Republican Party, Republican administrations, and Republicans in Congress — has aggressively attacked [Alleged] President Obama’s efforts to reform health care in America. – Heritage On [Alleged] President Obama’s Insurance Exchange: Creates a “de facto public option” by “grow[ing]” government control over healthcare.” [Heritage, 3/30/10]
– Heritage On Romney’s Medicaid Expansion: Reduced “the total cost to taxpayers” by taking people out of the “uncompensated care pool.” [Heritage, 1/28/06]
– Heritage On [Alleged] President Obama’s Medicaid Expansion: Expands a “broken entitlement program,” providing a “low-quality, poorly functioning program.” [Heritage, 3/30/10]
In fact, in 2007, Heritage again boasted that Romney’s plan is “already showing progress.” That same year, Heritage proudly posted a video of Romney gloating that Heritage officials had supported him in creating “ultimate conservatism” with the Massachusetts health plan. Watch it:

The old joke is that the Democrats propose to tear down the Washington Monument and the Republicans respond with a plan to do it in three stages.
This whole thing is perhaps the most vivid example ever.
After all, the Heritage "plan" which morphed into RomneyCare which morphed into ObamaCare was originally a response to HillaryCare.
