Not sure why it is a “felony” to have sex with someone of age. While it is a breach of trust between teacher and studant, can someone explain why this if a felony?

Regardless of age, in Texas it is illegal for a teacher to have sex with a primary or secondary student.

Ah, did not know that. It does sound like that is an unconstitutional law though. Not sure you can make it legal to have sex with an 18 year old but not if you are a teacher.

Sounds very likely to be overturned to me...
