I am very impressed with West too - but I am confused with your impression of Cain’s resume. Cain has spoken at over 50 tea party rallies - and that’s the basis of his support network across the country.

Three weeks ago I agreed.

Now, I think he’s got a shot. Not a “sure thing” by any means, but his chances are probably better than say, Pawlenty, or Santorum.

i think i’ll back West against Cain .

To what end?

West isn't running. West has made it clear--in plain, blunt terms--that he is not running for president--period, finito, end-of-story, done, discussion-over.

I mean this as a serious question, and I think it deserves a serious answer.

What do you hope to accomplish by backing someone that isn't running?

Because I wanted people to read about about what he stands for. Whether he is the candidate or someone else, his policy is necessary.

i know that Allen West isn’t running. Cain has not annouced his bid . For the sake of argument which would be the better candidate IF they ran.

Palin is my first choice but she’s not announced anything.

I’m well aware that Cain has Tea Party support but he lacks the same experience that dear leader does in domestic and foreign and governmental experiences other than being a CEO of a pizza company.

I don’t believe Cain is a viable candidate & up to this point he’s been running a campaign on the basis of “what I would do if I were president” and “I’m not Barack Obama and I would not do the things he does”.

Anyone could be a popular candidate this way but its a losing strategy.

I respectfully submit that you are not at all aware of his complete resume, or you would not say that. I would also submit that no person on the planet has as little “domestic experience” as dear leader, who has NONE outside the faculty lounge and ACORN type groups.

Cain might be in position to siphon off some potential Trump supporters...

So Cain trashes Trump when Trump has shown the guts to speak out about Obama and the mess this country is in, and Cain wants MY vote? Cain would be wise to chose a different approach, IMO. OBTW, I liked what Trump was saying and I liked the fact he was will to FIGHT, but my vote belongs to no one at this point. NO ONE has earned it yet.

Seriously, if you're gonna dismiss Cain at least get some knowledge on his resume. Not just running a "pizza place", as if that is some insult anyway.

He has a thousand times more qualifications than Obama did when he ran and in fact than Obama has now

WHOA WHOA WHOA? Where did THAT come from?
I simply said that Cain would be in a position to pick up some Trump voters due to the business background tie in, not that anyone was owed them. FTR, I didn’t really like Cain’s answer to that question myself and I don’t think he was thinking Trump when the interview started. I do know he liked the attacks on Obama by Trump and he should have said that.

Don’t take your Trump frustration out on others. It was Trumps decision not to run.

If you want to have a crush on Cain go right ahead. I’m not playing this game.

Trump was just pulling a PR stunt. It got him and his TV show a ton of extra exposure, and got him a bigger contract to keep the show going a few more years. Sure it was fun hearing him bluster for a few weeks but in the end it meant nothing. Trump wasn't fighting for you, me, or the country -he was just lining his pockets.

Trump has no desire to be prez and in fact he wouldn't have won once his own records were opened up.

What’s great about Herman Cain is he’s a real Republican. What a breath of fresh air this guy is. The establishment Republican insiders like Pawlenty, Romney, Daniels, Newt are all weak-kneed, limp-wristed, liberals.

So as far as that goes, Cain will get a lot more votes than the liberal RINOS and have a better chance of winning. Whereas, the RINO candidates, Pawlenty, Romney, Daniels, and Newt are automatic losers.

Geez a crush for merely stating fact? Support whomever you wish that’s what primaries are for. Just helps to get the info correct. I don’t think Cain will win but he is a more serious and qualified candidate than most of the junk we have running on our side.

I do believe that Cain's statement said something about Trump being a bully and because of that he is not presidential material. No WIMP is going to get my vote and as far as your assumption about being frustrated because Trump isn't running, you are wrong. I am frustrated that NO ONE is taking it to Obama. Trump was the only one and he has been trashed by everyone who supports a wimp. Our country is going down and I sure as hell want to go down fighting. Who the heck is going to put on the gloves and go after Obama, and when are they going to do it?

My original comment was posted to you because you posted the article.

Trump was saying what I want to be said. Who cares if he got his pocket lined and who cares if he had no intention of running. He was in Obama’s face. Meanwhile the other candidates are doing what? Next to NOTHING.
