Having commuted on trains, I have heard some doozies of cell phone conversations. The problem isn't always how loud they talk but the subjects of some conversations were painfully, unpleasantly, disturbingly personal. It's almost as if some people want to be disruptive.

Let me guess, this cell phone talking passenger will now sue Amtrak.
Defund Amtrak...why are the majority of Amtrak's fares subsidized?

That’s why cell phone jammers exist. Legal to own, but not to use. They work great (so I’ve been told).

Talking non-stop from California to Oregon? Unless she was manning a suicide hotline, I can't think of any reason to stay on the line for that length of time!

Throw Lakeysha from the train. It’ll make a great children’s book.

I put in quite a lot of time on Amtrak while I was long distance commuting. There are few things more annoying than someone in the seat behind you who won’t stop talking on their cell phone.
It’s one thing to make a quick call home to say you are late, or something of that kind. It’s quite another to talk nonstop as this woman was evidently doing.

Interesting to contemplate how she paid for her ticket, her cell phone, all the food necessary to maintain that figure, etc. Just askin’, but I’ll bet it’s not by working for a living.

I was on the train from Oakland to Salem 2 months ago and it stopped and kicked out some guys who were making too much noise disturbing the passengers who were sleeping. Do not mess with the conductor on a train it is a federal offense.

Real trains should have a modern day version of a phone booth, basically in effect there should be on such trains as these that are of the type with the lounge cars and such cubicles with sound suppression panels that any cell phone user can use with some privacy, and to not annoy fellow passengers.
But from I see of this it was called for, pun intended.
