It is a psychological thing. That is how some people deal with a crisis. They are typically the same people who do absolutely no disaster preparedness planning.

Last I heard, that’s BS. Take 8 minutes and educate yourself..all these 70 year old men, sitting 20 miles from Britain’s first H-Bomb test look rather healthy, happy and prosperous.
