All the accused need to do is cop a guilty plea for beating on a “white chick”. They will then get their sentences reduced to community service. And i didn’t even go to law school to figure this out. In America, Whitey doesn’t have a chance in hell.
That's almost certainly the plan. On the one hand, they face up to five years. On the other hand, the jury pool will look like them. Prosecution hopes they plea bargain, defense will argue that no likely jury would convict. They get off with community service.
The above rationale is why they would not even have been indicted if they had beaten up a real white girl: they would have faced at most six months, and high likelihood that a jury would deliver an OJ verdict.
