Legendary rock guitarist Carlos Santana, in town to be honored for a “Beacon of Change” award at Sunday’s MLB Civil Rights Game at Turner Field, called the state's new immigration law "anti-American. "Santana took his turn at the podium on the field in a pre-game ceremony before the Braves-Phillies game to criticize the immigration bill just signed into law by Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal Friday.
“I represent the human race,” the Mexican-born Carlos Santana said. “The people of Arizona, the people of Atlanta, Georgia, you should be ashamed of yourselves.”
The Georgia immigration law, HB 87, cracks down on illegal immigration by increasing enforcement powers and requiring many employers to check the immigration status of new hires.
Supporters of the new state law have long contended it's needed because the federal government has failed to adequately enforce the nation's immigration laws. One estimate ranks Georgia seventh nationally among states with an estimated 425,000 illegal immigrants.
Shortly after the game started, Santana met with the media in an impromptu gathering in the Turner Field press box after word of his comments began to break on the Internet and through social media.
He said the law is based on racism and economic anxiety....

You are quite right. Just go to youtube and listen to the many unknowns who can play their hearts out, many with their own music. Santana has not branched out from his basic style at all.
He also says he is guided by “spirits”. He is not someone I care to hear from.
Carlos if they did not cause trouble, leach, kill, steal, drive without a license/no insurance and kill, take off running as they did MY FRIEND...get legal, we would not have a problem. Stop having dozens of kids they cannot support, when asking why they do so, it makes them feel like men, MEN makes kids and pays to have them raised, NOT being here illegally and making us LEGAL working people pay for their liter.

The descendants of the very few Mexican citizens that were in AZ 150 years and did not choose to go over the border back into Mexico at any point in the last 150 years can claim they were here first. The ones that stayed in Mexico have NO claim. Any illegals sneaking in now have ZERO claim. The United States won it 150 years ago. Mexico had AZ for only about 25 years and there were only around 10,000 in the southwest when we won the war against Mexico.
The United States was very generous when we won against Mexico. Mexico started the war. We won and could’ve taken the entire country fair and square as the spoils of war.
If LaRaza keep flapping their gums we could implement the Reconquisadoracion of Mexico.
We charge Mexico for the land that they have now. Sell all their valuable assets, as the Soviet Union did when they took over Eastern Europe, charge Mexico for ALL the social services that we have squandered on illegal aliens including hospital visits.
Charge Mexico for all the lost wages and unemployment paid to legal Americans over the decades because the illegal aliens took their jobs and made everyone’s pay in the US lower by having a much too large pool of labor.
Put all the illegal aliens into Belize and Guatemala, because it is a very small border to protect, and pay those countries a few billion dollars out of what we make on the sale of the assets of Mexico to send every citizen of Mexico into their country since legally ALL of Mexico should, by rights, belong to the USA.
THEY OWE US BIG TIME! Let Carlos be the first to pay up.
The problem is this: What is MLB doing having a “Civil Rights Game?” It’s more liberal crap from Bud Selig’s liberal off-topic MLB. They promote everything but the game of baseball.
