Ron Paul says killing Osama bin Laden ‘absolutely not necessary’

RP appears to be all over the map on this topic.

Who says that Bin Laden was killed and NOT a look alike?..
The Obama administration?.. or minions of it?..

The Obama administration lies.. ALL evidence has been deep sixed..
Its almost like the Vince Foster affair of the clintoons..
Evidence disappeared or vanished.. nobody questions it..
Or almost nobody.. I do!..

What would have been lost by knowledge of a/the look alike?..
Answer: Obama becoming the reincarnated Jimmah Carter with the helicopter thing..

I never thought I would agree with RP but seriously, we are broke and we need to take a good look at how we are spending our foreign aide.

This sort of statement is problematic because it’s almost right. Nation-building is a disaster almost every time it’s tried, and we won’t really force a Pax Americana by being in the Middle East. The idea was to punish/kill the offenders, the most important part of the exercise being that we showed the savages that we have the stones to pull the trigger. The problem is that the invasion/occupation of Iraq (and Afghanistan) HAS made us safer. We picked that battlefield, and it drew in thousands of Islamic nutjobs, who our military proceeded to kill. That worked quite well. We didn’t sell the invasion on those terms, and President Bush didn’t understand the need to. His mistake, and it was a big one. Maybe we can now pull back from the region like Ron Paul wants, but being there has served a great purpose. My only problem is that we were too soft on them. General Sherman showed the way 150 years ago.

UBL knew Afghanistan far better than we did. His goal was to draw America into a ground invasion of Afghanistan while he hid in and directed the fight from Pakistan.

All countries have an underlying theme, a national philosophy that creates a unique identity. For America it might be progress and liberty. For Afghanistan its anarchy, that's what the Pahktuns prefer, no national central government. Rule by tribes, nothing more, and paranoia of anyone outside the tribe.

We will never change that. We are walking ATM's. They know we will be gone someday and they are right.

R-U-N Paul is the GOP’s Dennis Kookoocinich. He should be treated as the joke he is.
