I see it as an embarrassment rather than a tribute. I've been attending baseball games since the early '70s as well, and never once thought to myself....."gee, wouldn't it be just wonderful if the team would honor us Jews. It's just so damn disrespectful that they haven't done so!"

I see it like this -- once you have a "heritage day" or "cultural history month" or other PC timeslot named after either your religious, cultural, or racial group, you're in bad shape. Again, an embarrassment.
