Gee, maybe it will actually double their attendance to about 4,000.
“$17 a ticket? I’ll give you $6.”
Ouch...anti-Semitic much, Hitler?
I see it as an embarrassment rather than a tribute. I've been attending baseball games since the early '70s as well, and never once thought to myself....."gee, wouldn't it be just wonderful if the team would honor us Jews. It's just so damn disrespectful that they haven't done so!"
I see it like this -- once you have a "heritage day" or "cultural history month" or other PC timeslot named after either your religious, cultural, or racial group, you're in bad shape. Again, an embarrassment.
oy can I have a knish or will they be serving gefilte fish, The A’s agreed to ban Cheese burger’s and pork sandwiches that night.
Oh get over it.
My jewish grandfather used to joke about other jewish "bargain hunters" who did that all the time!
Elaine Dickinson: Would you like something to read?
Hanging Lady: Do you have anything light?
Elaine Dickinson: How about this leaflet, “Famous Jewish Sports Legends?”
Hmmm....Rod Carew converted to Judaism, I suppose Hank Greenberg, Al Rosen, Sandy Koufax,...
How dare you call someone that over an online joke?
People really need to grow up and live in the 21st Century, not obsess over some tyrant of 70+ years ago.
BTTT, divided we fall.
You got it, BQ.
Seriously!
Hasn’t anyone ever heard of the comedy LP, “You Don’t Have to be Jewish”?
Lots of good stuff there.
Anti-semitic? You silly drama queen. I’m a New Yorker; I ADMIRE that about old-fashioned Jews.
Thanks for havin’ my back. :^)
:0)))
“anti-Semitic much, Hitler?”
So you think Hitler just told jokes about Jews??? He did a lot worse than that.
(Besides, the target of that joke was the A’s, not Jews.)
That's the way I took it -- giving props to good haggling skills.
No worries, there's always at least one hypersensitive in the crowd.
