Last week we asked our readers to vote for their favorite ballad or slow jam of all time. Votes were all over the place from tracks by Pearl Jam to Elvis Presley to Lionel Richie. In the end it was very close, and there was a tie so we had to expand our standard top 10 to a top 12. If this survey has reinforced anything, it's that our readers really, really love Led Zeppelin.

Whitney Houston’s is still a goose-bumper after 20 - yikes- 20! years. We have it on a later-issued CD, but still have the original single-release on a cassette tape. The sound on that was sooo great - at the time. Not half-bad now, but hasn’t technology left those days in the dust!

I just watched it on youtube. It is complete with an f-16 fly-by and Whitney, dressed exceptionally appropriately for the occasion. The technology of the time seems to miss nothing; her voice and her interpretation are just perfect.
Haven’t read the thread but I have to say “Still Loving You” by the Scorpions, “Love Ain’t No Stranger” by Whitesnake and “Rock Me” by Great White are good ones.
