Last week we asked our readers to vote for their favorite ballad or slow jam of all time. Votes were all over the place from tracks by Pearl Jam to Elvis Presley to Lionel Richie. In the end it was very close, and there was a tie so we had to expand our standard top 10 to a top 12. If this survey has reinforced anything, it's that our readers really, really love Led Zeppelin.

I talked to the actual engineers who designed the Clamshell rear on those wagon 5 years ago at the wagon convention in Detroit. They had all types of stories about what it took to get all that together. Back in day the Executives would grab one of these wagons to do work around the house on the weekend and come Monday like clockwork they would show up at the proving grounds with the wagon full of wood and plants because the gates would fail. The engineers would have to spend the day working out the bugs in the relay system and then take the crap to the execs home and unload it. Funny stuff.
GM ended up selling that tech to BMW for their Z3 cars because they don’t have saftey standards over there and had electric drop down doors on those cars for a while.
I only wish Alan and Eric could have patched things up before Eric passed away.
With Or Without You is my favorite U2 song.

Back then, they just sang. No weird clothes, no big hair, no laser shows, no pyrotechnics.
There is just to many. The crap we are subjected to today is a testament.
