Oh, no no, see, first, you're not facing a cut, you're facing actually an increase in spending, which is the absolute normal. But beyond, what ‘’education’’ wants is an even bigger piece of the pie, and oh, by the by, state contributions to employee retirement funds? They claim that shouldn't be counted as part of the voter mandated 1/3rd of the budget to education. It should be separate.

So, to clarify, they don't want to miss out on raises and increases in the state and local contributions to their health plans, and if they don't get their way, they'll shut down education.

Alas, there's precious few in the media who'd call them on these flat out lies, so we've got another ‘protest against cuts.’ Fire them all, start again, this time without the outrageous benefits, the mega salaries, and the super retirements.

There is no "media" here in california. The media's just a myth. There's just liberal mouthpieces, that's it.
