shut down the whole failed system and switch to virtual schools where students can log on to the internet and down load their lessons. No need for teachers, administrators, bureaucrats, unions, etc. Get rid of practically all of them.

But public schools are really day care centers masquerading as public schools.

I just read a very interesting article, in which it was evaluating the worth of a college education. It used the soft degrees, Art History, History, Education, water painting. Etc. It compared the cost of 5 years lost,as most colleges and Universities have it rigged so that it takes 5 years to get all of the requires classes. It compared the earnings of the college grad, after loosing 5 years in school to a young person who went into to a training plan for Plumbers, Electricians,Carpenters, Sheet Metal workers. The young tradesmen came out at retirement with about $75,000,00 more than the college grads, considering the cost of college, loss of earnings / So to shut down the California Higher Education might just be doing the young people a favor.
