I’m not sure I understand all the Anti-Mitch Fever that folks have. It must be his personality. The guy has been a consistent conservative in his RECORD, ALWAYS against national health care, unlike Romney, strongly against cap-and-trade, unlike Pawlenty, Newt, and McCain (and Romney). He beat down the public sector unions as effectively as Walker in Wisconsin, and without all the circuses because he know show to get it done.

Indiana has the 3rd lowest taxes of any state and operates IN THE BLACK despite being in the “Rust Belt neighborhood” in this self-destructive economy (Surrounding states of Illinois, Michigan and Ohio are fiscal basket cases). He’s been doing great things in school choice and smashing the government school monopoly.

It’s true he’s bald, but not as bald as McCain, or as fat as Christie or as wrinkled up and squinty as Ron Paul. So what?

He has a dry humor, which is not the style Rush likes, but despite my being a devoted Rush-o-holic, the Maharushie is wrong on this one. It’s true that Daniels is more low-key and not a screamer, but a lot of us LIKE that style. The question is: “Did he get the Conservative job done as governor?” The answer is YES. I wish El Rushbo would quit with his reverse-endorsements. If Reagan were running today, Rush would be complaining that he’s too nice and too polite.

And as for “making up his mind” about running, I wish, sincerely, that NOBODY would announce before Christmas (I know it’s impractical because the Press Corpse demands it, but 18-month campaigns are so aggravating.

If Christie and Walker endorse him, that will put him at the front, and I have no problem with it.
