There is something else strange about this case. Police said they were looking for the chief since 9:30AM. A citizen reported seeing him slumped in his car 11 hours later.

Wikipedia says there are less than 3,500 people living in La Joya. I have never been there, but in a town that small I think you could cruise EVERY STREET in less than a couple of hours. How hard were they looking for him? Was there no locator on his car or his cell phone?

Yes it is strange it too so long to find him. He was eventually located in a subdivision on the outskirts of the city.

I don’t think they know just how long he had been parked in the empty lot where he was found. It could be he drove to other locations during the day and maybe didn’t spend too much time in the suddivion before his death.

Prayers to his family. He seemed like a good man. RIP.
