"Frankly, a week ago Sunday in the Situation Room we all agreed that we would not release any operational details from the effort to take out bin Laden. That all fell apart on Monday, the next day."
Rather than keeping the details secret, intelligence officials and senior administration officials briefed members of the press
I have never been so terrified of my government! This adminstration is EVIL!!!

Attorney General Eric Holder will want a special prosecutor to investigate the Seals. He’s already doing that with the CIA agents who interrogated captured terrorists. The interrogations led to the identity of Obama bin Laden’s courier.

Just when you think you can’t be disgusted any further by this POS President I read this kind of stuff. He is just an absolute disaster for our country. Hurry up 2012!

I feared this from the get-go. I feel the WH will release those names of these Seals before that photo of dead OBL. JUST DISGRACEFUL.

OBL’s son will file a wrongful death or denial of civil rights (excessive use of force, no warrant, improper extradition from foreign country, denial of life w/o due process of law, etc.) case against US Govt, the whole chain of command and John Doe Seal #1 through 25. The “discovery” will give his lawyer a copy of everything that happened including all documents, transmissions, etc., everything: names of seals and they will have to be deposed under oath as to exactly what they did. Lots of videos on those helmet cams. This will be a major fiasco. He can file the case in a U S Federal Court. Defending “us” will be Eric Holder. God help us all! He may even file it in The Hague, or even a Pakistani court.

They should never have released any info on these guys. Just letting the enemy know that 24 SEALS were involved gives guys like Khadaffi an idea of what to prepare for in the event of a strike. This administration has diarrhea of the mouth, and can’t keep their stories straight on top of it.

If Robert Gates had any honor, he would have resigned last Tuesday, then immediately held a press conference, and told the American public that he strongly opposed the administration's making operational details of the raid public. He would have had a much bigger audience, and what he said would have had far more impact. Frankly, he took the coward's way out while keeping his cushy job. Plus his admission comes after his 60 Minutes appearance when he called Obama "gutsy." That's what sticks in the public mind, not his wimpy admission (complete with nervous laughter) about the broken deal to keep operational details classified.

If it comes to releasing a photo of the seal team members,
than merely photo-edit each one to show comrade obama's
face. I can not image that BO would want it any other way.

This regime is going to make the SEAL team and their families pay dearly for doing their job and getting it done. Obama is pissed of we had to destroy a helicopter like his buddy Carter did during his regime.

The information needed releasing was the fact a raid had occurred {no need to even know by what branch}, location, and he was killed {confirmed by photo's of body and DNA}. That simple process would have been sufficient. Releasing the branch involved was bad enough. Releasing the unit name of the team and the ship he was tossed from was wrong. This is a serious breach of what should be classified information as it involved special operations.
Second Option which would have been as beneficial would have been to have never released his death to start with. Sitting back and watching them scramble would have been interesting and may have harvested even more intel in the mayhem.

If the Spec Ops commanders had any ba11s, he would issue stateside orders for then to conceal carry 24/7.
