I'd laugh if this weren't so tragic. Watching the MSM attempt to make things look good for the Bambi economy is terrifying. Go to the link and check the comments out at the end of the article if you want some relief. The comments are hysterical, it's not just FR that is figuring out how pathetic the MSM is.

No one knows what will happen tomorrow, let alone “down the road.” I am getting whiplash from the gas prices. $4.05 this morning, $3.89 just a few minutes ago via GasBuddy. $3.79 on Tuesday morning, $3.99 by that afternoon.

IN OTHER NEWS, AP reports that the increase in the Chocolate ration from 25, to the new 20 grams, will have positive effects for Big Brother’s poll numbers!
AND YOU THOUGHT 1984 WAS JUST A BOOK?

I do not recall the AP ever being so solicitous during the Bush years.

WOW. It took two writers to come up with this spin. Martin Crutsinger is a Obummer sycophant. Here is a list at Newsbusters of all the out right lies and mistruths this Journolister has thrown out over the past few months.

No wonder no one takes these clowns seriously.

Job gains?
What a lying sack of crap these people are.
There are no job “gains”

Go to the link and check the comments out at the end of the article if you want some relief. The comments are hysterical One of the commenters got pretty obnoxious about the perceived Hebraicism of the article's authors, stopping just short of posting some well-worn rant about the Juuuuuws; but for the most part the disbelief and dismay with politically-motivated scribblings about macro-economics was well-deserved.
Yes, I agree the authors had some Axelrod "talking points" memos in a browser window somewhere as they composed their squib.

What a lying sack of crap these people are. There are no job “gains”.... And if there really were solid "job gains", as one of the Yahoo! commenters pointed out, that would just increase the inflationary pressures and accelerate price increases.

9% unemployment and that is Job gains.
Next year City and County budgets are going to lay off more people as food and gas increases will be higher so employee's money will be less.

Nice catch, good link, tks. And in convicting Martin Crutsinger, who only gets
paid by AP, of actually working for the Regime, I'll just quote your Newsbuster link which found that
Crutsinger significantly misleads about the total spending the administration is proposing for fiscal 2012, and fails to call a tax increase by its proper name, i.e., a tax increase.
Nice call, yummy good.

These prices aren't the results of oil production, mideast instability or any of the reasons that this administration claims. It is because the dollar is not worth a sh!t. Quantitative Easing is just a euphemism for printing fiat scrip - IOW printing money that the government needs to buy US T-Bills, dump on the economy for its bills, etc. It has devalued the value of the money supply by creating more of the supply with no measurable increased value in what backs it up - perception by the people and the rest of the world.
This man is a liar; all of his underlings are liars. The majority of the media that is making excuses and wishes about how good things are getting are LIARs.

When you are earning less, because of job scarcity, your dollars WON’T GO AS FAR, and thus even more consumers spending still won’t make up the difference.
The presstitutes are stuck on stupid.

There must be a contest in the MSM to see who can pen the most absurd story designed to protect the administration. This is beyond pathetic.
