That makes no sense at all. Doves don’t mate with blue jays because nothing would happen. Blacks and whites can produce babies because we are all human.

Birds are all birds. Do eagles mate with hawks? Fish are all fish. Why not a tuna and a sailfish? Lions and tigers can make ligers, but they don’t unless prompted by us.
Snakes are all snakes. Do moccassins mate with copperheads? Both are pit vipers...
Lets go higher up the chain. Do chimps mate with monkies? Do baboons mate with Orangutangs? They are all primates with similar reproductive organs. Certainly they “could” mate, but they don’t mate. Why is that?
