I did this 5 times on carriers over my 20-year Navy career.

I too, am wishing her fair winds and following seas.

But in all my years, I never saw one pull out so early, underway at 0545 this morning!

Usually between 1000 and 1200 for deployment. Yes, unusual.

Probably a new Captain or BG Commander just being a hard-a$$.
