"There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs. There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don't want the patient to get well."
--Booker T. Washington, 1911
He had some great things to say about Union strikes, but this one seemed appropriate in the context of 0bama....
Among a large class (in Washington D.C.) there seemed to be a dependence upon the Government for every conceivable thing. The members of this class had little ambition to create a position for themselves, but wanted the Federal officials to create one for them. Booker T. Washington
As true today as it was in 1911.
My guess is that Obama has not a clue what Booker T. Washington's position was on race baiting for votes or profit.
I would also be willing to make a small wager that Obama is also clueless about Fredrick Douglas and more importantly and more recently Thomas Sowell.
