I’ve seen a bunch of coverage too. Then again, I’m paying attention. I used to live in LA. They have already opened up the Bonnet Carre and will open the Morganza soon, I understand. If these flood control structures work, and with any luck, the damage in LA will be limited. Unlike 1927.
Just checked. Looks like opening the Morganza could flood an area 20 miles wide by 100 miles long, along the Atchafalaya River. Mostly rural I think. But not without consequences.
