I have no problem with an emergency alert system. Most college campuses use similar networks to notify their populace of local emergencies, and they work well.
But I don’t want any messages whatsoever from Barry0, or from any other politician.
My sheriff department’s emergency services unit left a message on my phone this morning announcing this service for amber alerts, weather emergencies, etc. They already had my number since my mother is on the list for a medical evacuation in the event of a hurricane.
