According to the story, she was gay before too: so she went from being a lesbian to a gay male. You are not alone in being VERY confused about how that could happen. If as a woman you were sexually attracted to woman, it’s hard to understand how becoming a man would alter that. No doubt this is horrifically un-PC to point out.
I thought Chaz had a girlfriend - for like 6 years? I just heard Chaz on the radio yesterday - she/he said she/he had a girlfriend.
