You beat me to the punch with your irrationality by assuming that anyone was beaten down for standing around. The article simply says they were pepper sprayed. As well as your unsupported assumption that they were run down or overrun. And also your straw man about what might have happened or has happened in other circumstances instead of sticking to the facts of this situation. Just excuse making.
