Some of the Israelis who were chosen to light Independence Day torches shared their emotions and revealed their warm personalities when they spoke with Arutz Sheva Sunday.

Rabbi Shimon Rosenberg - whose daughter and son-in-law, Rivki and Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg, were murdered in Mumbai - will be accompanied by his grandson Moishie when he lights the torch. He spoke of his feelings and those of Moishie.

Gabi Holtzberg was my upstairs neighbor's son in Crown Heights. Back then he was age 10-11. Among my friends here in Israel are the doctor who safeguarded his body, and the doctor's family, who remain close to little Moshe Holtzberg. So I can't get away from this story. The whole thing happened while I was working in a kosher deli in a South Florida Winn Dixie, and the name of the victim knocked me for a loop.
