PORTSMOUTH
A Portsmouth police officer has been indicted on a charge of embezzlement following a state police investigation.
Robert Anthony Murray, 38, has been with the Portsmouth Police Department for 12 years, according to city records.
Detective Jan Westerbeck, a police spokeswoman, referred all questions, including Murray’s employment status, to state police.
