Just shows a college degree doesn’t mean you’re smart.

My friend has a term for book-smart “geniuses”: Educated idiots.
It's spot on.

I support neither.
Romney sucks, and Palin has higher negatives than Charlie Sheen.

You have to have been broke at least once in your life in order to truly understand the concept. All of my brothers and my sister have at lest a Bachelors of Science, and a couple of us have masters. But we all live frugally and are all very conservative. Mostly because we were not born with a silver spoon in our mouths. From childhood we understood to never take money for granted. We were not poor, but we had to make choices. We instinctively learned the difference between a need and a want and how to prioritize them.
Our parents also taught us that if you stay out of debt, when tough times hit you can weather them. We may not have had the biggest houses, but they were all paid off early. In my case before I was 35. And none of us have lost a house or been in credit trouble, even when extended layoffs occurred.
People who have always been upscale like Romney because they have never had postpone gratification. They don't instantly grasp the concept that you can't have everything you want, just because having it sounds like a good idea. If you have had to do prioritize purchases, even if you later move up scale, you will always become angry when someone tries to take what you worked to get. Because it means an even longer time before you can move from needs to wants.
