Is that the same lake where some American tourist on a jetski got shot by Mexican’s?
Unless there are two Falcon lakes they are one and the same.
I feel safer now. I think I’ll plan my next fishing trip down there. I may not have room for fishing tackle just ammo.
Appears to be the same body of water. I guess the mexicans watched a couple of Arnold movies.
Yep the same lake........... The drug cartels rule a lot of area along the border and down into Mexico.
The story in its entirety shows what is going on down there with the drug cartels. Just look at the deaths that are being reported [34,600 in four years] never mind how many they don’t report.

MEXICO CITY (AP) The Mexican navy says marines patrolling a lake along the border with Texas discovered a drug gang camp on an island, provoking a gunbattle that left 13 people dead.
The navy says one marine and 12 gunmen from the Zetas drug cartel were killed in the gunbattle on the island on Falcon Lake, about 45 miles (70 kilometers) northwest of McAllen, Texas.
The navy said in a statement Monday that the gunmen opened fire when the marines found the camp. The statement said marines seized more than 20 guns, including several assault rifles, after the shooting Sunday.
The statement said the Zetas were smuggling marijuana from the camp into Texas by speedboat.
