Tricare IS cheap, but you get what you pay for. Hardly any physicians in my area participate. Those that do probably lose $$.

For my Doc, the ratio is one “real” insurance patient to 8 tricare patients. He does it out of patriotism.

When we have cut every last unearned benefit - i.e anything for illegals, welfare, etc, then we can go after the earned ones.

Yes Tricare is cheap. The doctor my kids see is the same one all the kids on public assistance see. The plus side is if you go early you can always get in right away as the public assistance types do not get up too early. The waiting room of the doctor I see is always loaded with medicare/Medicaid patients. Now all those old people do get up early so I usually have a wait.
