I attended a tea party a couple of years ago.

A “reporter” for the local NY Times wannabe newspaper came up to one of the organizers I happened to be standing next to.

With notepad in hand, she asked “So, you’re against health care?”

That scenario happen to me in 1996! The question was, "Are you sorry Jack Kemp did not show up?" (it was a rally for Bob Dole as president) With a (rare) presence of mind, I answered "Bob Dole will make a better president than Bill Clinton" (or something like that). In retrospect, I realized that that is the way to answer these "have you stopped beating your wife" questions. By simply answering the question that I WANTED her to ask. BTW, the reporterette just put a scowl on her face and set out to find another victim.
