I have a question. Since the treatment to ‘change’ a person's gander includes massive hormonal injections, treatment, with the opposite sex hormones to accomplish the ‘change’ - wouldn't one conclude that it was a hormonal imbalance in the first place that rendered the person to lean the other way? (The whole thing sounds like a giant scientific/medical experiment.)

Therefore, why not treat the person with hormone treatment of the SAME sex and get them back on track - along with counseling?

Oh, right, it’s now against the LAW to counsel anyone regarding this.

Oh we're there, for sure. I quit praying for our country when the Congress repealed DADT for the boy king. There is no one in the District of Corruption that I feel comfortable praying to lead this country out of its downfall. I will just ride it out and make sure my life is "right" and I am ready.

To say this person is disturbed is an understatement. It seems to me that filling her body with all sorts of chemicals isn’t the solution. She will always be the same person, regardless of what she looks like.

I do wonder, once she completes this so-called “treatment”, and is still “unhappy”, will she insist that the entire mess was the fault of “someone else”, and then insist she be “changed back” to female?

She will never find “acceptance” in society, because she will never find “acceptance” within herself. And the sick b!@#$%^&s at the NY Times are preying on her severe illness, in order to push their own bizarre and sick agenda.
