I do not know what they think they are doing, but our legislators have been lying about enforcing the laws on the books since Kennedy passed and lied about the effects of his law. Our lawmakers lied again during the Reagan years when they gave amnesty to 2 million illegals, promising to close the borders and enforce current immigration laws. Now we have at least 20 million illegals that also want amnesty!
Now that he's been sober 1 year, 7 months, here are some of Kennedy's lies:

To be a modern era politician post internet, and having been around running your mouth for a decade or more sure catches up to you mighty fast.
The real question is just when does the media hold legislators accountable to their record?
