Via Instapundit. Probably some exaggeration and wishful thinking by Indian media on how bad the relationship between Pakistan and the US has gotten, but the outing of the CIA station chief in Islamabad sounds pretty outrageous. If the CIA station chief's identity is secret, the only way Pakistani media could have learned it is via the Pakistani intelligence agency.

This is a serious turn of events.

Assuming Pak was complicit in the OBL raid, and I don't see a plausible way the could not have been, it's probable there is a substantial split in the Pak power structure.

Not good.

The government in Pak needs to crack down hard or they are finished.

Who says we need to tell the the REAL names of out operatives anyway? They should send in this guy’s replacement with a passport identifying him as Homer Simpson. When they blow his cover, send him back again under the name Fred Flintstone. I can’t believe the CIA haven’t figured this out already.

Maybe not, from my experience overseas our government has a habit of trusting foreigners more that our own nationals - mind you I'm not just talking out of my hat I've seen this and experienced it firsthand when a high-ranking foreign government official who happened to be drunk mentioned a few names to me - he was bragging about how close he was with the American government.
