The biggest shame was losing the capacity of the downed copter. Ideally we'd have left with everyone still alive and left the Pakistani's with nothing. The only way any Pakistani could have known what went down would have been if they'd already known HE was there. Work the data and make a couple rounds of follow up live or drone attacks before announcing HIS death and some of those Pakistanis would have proven their complicity in the interim.
I guess I missed that. I see no mention of gunfire. The tweets are very enlightening as far as timeline and other details though. 11 minutes from time of "hovering helicopter" and "huge window shaking bang". Then 46 minutes later reports "all silent". That "bang" is a little early in the timeline to be blowing the chopper.

Roger that. Makes you wonder if they drilled with the same pilot and aircraft. No doubt we'd still be oblivious had we not lost the chopper. Probably why it took the WH so long to get their first BS story together.
