I think this was a re-election ploy, but it went awry.

0bama said he sent SEALs in so we could get a body. Supposedly if we did an airstrike, the story was we would never know. Yet we have done plenty of airstrikes, and always sent teams in to scour for pieces afterward. It doesn’t make ID of the targets impossible, and there is always chatter afterward, anyway.

I think the SEALs were sent in to try and capture OBL alive. If they did, then you have a year and a half of the media talking about OBL’s trial, his punishment, etc. The media could talk about OBL 24/7 right through the election, and discuss over and over how 0bama caught him. Plus, that is much more in tune with 0bama’s Liberal psychology, which would have wanted to see “the rule of law” applied. No way 0bama authorizes a kill mission, even for OBL.

The SEALs had a different idea. They see leftists prosecuting their buddies because a terrorist got a fat lip. They see leftists trying to free terrorists in trials left and right. They take OBL alive, and maybe one day OBL is walking free in America on a taxpayer funded government stipend, with a big cash settlement for all the pain and suffering America inflicted on him.

Hell, we’re paying for a cliff-side house overlooking a beach in Bermuda, as well as clothes and food, for some Al Qaida terrorists from Guantanamo right now. They probably have a stipend too. We couldn’t send them home because their home country might not be nice to them, on account they were terrorists.

So right as the SEALs are about to go in, they have a malfunction of their video system, and next thing you know OBL is dead. Seems kind of convenient for America, and inconvenient for 0bama

Now, by the next election, OBL will be old news. Somehow, I tend to think Liberals would have preferred things go differently.

Wiki-leaks may have rushed things, but I think 0bama’s plan for this whole thing was a little different, and more political than one would think. That might even have explained the angry expression as he watched the operation unfold. The SEALs did what they felt was best for America, and 0bama was helpless to stop them.

Be funny if that SEAL who offed Bin Ladin actually did fire a shot which changed the course of history.

What if OBL had been caught early on or contained there, because if he was caught early public interest in going after the rest of his group would wane if the public found out... not to mention having his group think the boss was still in charge would be helpful in rounding up as many as possible? What if the new guy elected president -with the stated intention of ending the war- decided to make himself look like a hero and undermine support for the war by giving the public one of its most desired trophies- OBL- so the public would assume the US was victorious and then lose interest in going after his supporters, and want to call the troops home ?
But then OBL could ruin it all if he was presented alive because of course, he could make it known he was a prisoner all along. Instead of looking like a hero, POTUS would come off looking bad. So OBL has to die.
So while SEALS normally try to capture their targets alive so that the targets can be interrogated, one was given a special job....to make sure OBL wouldn’t live to tell of it. And then this one- who broke the code of silence- was rewarded with a book deal. Maybe he wasn’t even a SEAL after all but was from another agency.
And to reinforce the storyline, Hollywood was called in to produce a film about the raid.
Anyway, just throwing in another theory.
