I have to agree that unemployment has to be above 15.9%. I was out of work for over 4 months but didn’t qualify for unemployment... and I didn’t get “counted” in those numbers. There are tons of people out there in the same position...

Like all the housing contractors that are out of work.. If your a contractor, your NEVER counted in the unemployment number.

My brother and I are in the same boat. We’re living on savings and what’s left of the little bit our parents left us when they died. My brother has two master’s degrees and is trying to find employment in academe. Every job he’s applied for in the last two years has gone to a Chinese. And these are Chinese with poor English skills who are graduates of universities from places like Peking. Affirmative action and diversity are denying him employment. And we’re eighth generation Americans whose ancestors fought in the American Revolution and the Civil War. We’d be better off if we were illegal aliens, or Hispanics, or Asians, or bi-racial, or whatever other category now qualifies for “protected” status. We don’t recognize this country anymore.
