I’m not disputing big cats are dangerous.

But not all attacks by dogs are reported. We had two deaths caused by pit bulls in my town last year, both children. Neither are on that list.

Dogs are natural predators. How they behave around people has a lot to do with how they are raised and what care breeders take in choosing temperaments. I have two dogs, a Springer Spaniel and a Golden Retriever, and neither are emotionally unstable.

That’s very unusual that those were not reported. The CDC has kept stats on this for some time.

Some dogs aren’t good around children and some have poor genetic temperament. I’ll admit I don’t have a good opinion of Springer Spaniels because of temperament. But also it’s true some people get dogs without the proper attitude for owning dogs. I see that too often. It’s the Disney attitude that dogs are just little humans. Neglecting training or discipline in the home is a recipe for disaster. Usually the dog pays with his life, in some rare occasions it’s a kid.
