Ugh, my sister lives near Ft. Campbell.
I wonder if the White House failed to invite the governor of Tennessee as a set-up, hoping to make him look bad for skipping the event, or if they didn't know that much of Fort Campbell is in Tennessee. Did they invite the (Democrat) Governor of Kentucky? He would have a longer way to travel to attend the event.
