Maybe. After reading the previous threads on the subject today, I think what we're seeing here is a re-branding of the "Take Back the Night" walks that have been organized in various places over the last 15 years or so.

All they're doing is using a PR gimmick ("SlutWalk" sounding SO much more naughty, and therefore titillating, than "Take Back the Night") to garner more press and to incentivize more people to show up.

They had similar slut walks in France, but targeted against the muslims who would actualy rape the girls.
