Apparently the party doesn't have much in the way of success to brag about.
There has been a few elected Libertarians, many if not most were elected to local or municipal government positions.
If interested, you can read about it here.
For the record...I'm not opposed to Libertarianism in general as I am a staunch believer in limited government. But I do believe the legalize drug platform is a loser from the start. Just my .02¢.

Just my .02¢.The problem with the legalized drug platform is that libertarians usually include all drugs. Well, I guess they are being consistent but yes, when it's presented that way it is a loser. But like it or not, I really do think that marijuana will eventually be legal - hell, seniors smoke it now. It may not happen in my lifetime but I don't see the drug warriors being any more successful than they have in the past on that one. And when it comes to Mexico, I think you are going to hear more and more people say - Grow here, grow now! ;-)

I'm not opposed to them either, but I also don't like their influence on the Tea Party movement, and I wish the Koch brothers would stay out of things. They can be the same Libertarians that have dumped millions into the Cato Institute for several decades, but I'd prefer they take their money elsewhere. That's my concern about the Libertarians these days, and I don't see Paul going anywhere.
