The Minnesota House has passed a bill requiring voters to present a photo ID before they can cast a ballot.
The GOP-sponsored bill passed 73-59 Thursday on a mostly party-line vote. Republican supporters say it will make elections more open and honest, but Democratic critics say it will make voting more difficult for seniors, students and low-income people.
The Senate has already passed its version of the bill, and it now heads to a conference committee. Gov. Mark Dayton has raised concerns, but chief House sponsor Rep. Mary Kiffmeyer says she still hopes for his support. Kiffmeyer amended the bill Thursday to increase the frequency of state campaign finance reporting, which Dayton wants.

Of course, Dayton won’t sign it, though I’m glad they did it. Proves they have some hutzpah.
There, fixed it...
Oh Id love to see that in MA. Results would be so different.
As I am sure most if not all state’s drivers licenses and ID’s are, but FL’s have both a hologram and a UV watermarks. Very difficult to forge.
Every single ID should be heavily scrutinized and any suspect ID’s not accepted.
Dayton has a problem. While he can veto it, the republicans can put it on the ballet as a amendment to the state constitution.
he signs it and the dems can at least think they can repeal it when they have control again. It passes via an amendment (and it likely would) and it’ll be MUCH harder to get rid of.

Good for them! I wish we had this in every State!
So WHEN will a USA state pass an Ink Finger bill?
Of course, any thinking person knows that all of those people the Democrats profess such concern can’t do anything without ID.
Do the Democrats even care that cloaking their desire to maintain the ease of committing vote fraud in a veil of concern for people who don’t have IDs is so transparent?
Ping!
It’s very simple: Use the same ID requirements used to board a commercial aircraft.
This is what the Democrats want desperately: THE ILLEGAL ALIENS VOTES.
Because seniors, students and low-income people don't have ID (for alcohol) or licenses to drive, right? Come on!
I didn't even find fees listed on the MN state site unless you need a variance ($10) because you can't provide any combination of the accepted documentation.
