References? The Gates foundation strove to keep its nose clean from abortion. Bill Gates did not want Microsoft to be hurt by this inflammatory issue.

Contraceptives were a different story.

I linked an NYT article in post #14 where Buffett gave money for abortion.

While the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation claims not to fund abortion, they do fund population control (though they call it "family planning"):
