The biggest problem is that we don’t even know his real name. How would we know if he’s black?

It hardly matters. He’s a lousy President.

The questions about Obama’s eligibility for the office notwithstanding, I think many critics of those who are curious about Obamas dearth of public documents (passport applications, student loan appications, schoold transcripts, and until recently his long form birth certificate) are mixing together two issues, which for many sane-minded individuals are in point of fact, separate.

The lack of documentation does posit questions in my mind, but not as far as eligibility for the office - more so, the curiosity of “why.” Sure we have the document now. Most defenders of the President maintain that he had previously released it, but if he had, why release another? And why wait so long as Oprah wanted to know – is she racist too?

The separate issue, of Obama’s perceived “un-American-ness” is not linked to this dearth of documentation for a majority of critics of this President. For me and many of my ilk (that would be intelligent, non-racist, patriotic Americans) the perception is not that Barak is not “an American,” it is that he does not appear to be a “patriotic American.” Perhaps he’s a Progressive-American, having already risen above the stale old-fashioned flag-waving,-clinging-to-their-guns-and-bibles brand of patriotism. Let’s see...what evidence would support this...hmmm.

Oh, of course it’s only circumstantial evidence like his not placing his hand over his heart for the pledge of allegiance at a number of campaign events, refusing very publically to wear a flag lapel pin, how about his “American-apology” tour, pinnacled by his speech in Germany where he stated, “America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive.” Then after listening to Daniel Ortega verbally run down America for an hour, Barak said, “I’m grateful that President Ortega did not blame me for things that happened when I was three months old.” So, run down America, cool, so long as you don’t blame me? Then there was his press conference with Pres. Calderon where they jointly denounced Arizona’s immigration policies, while at his direction Eric Holder filed suit against the state; the federal government suing the state for trying to protect its own borders...nice.
But Wait! That’s not all! How about the leader of our country bowing before the leaders of other countries including the Saudi King, Japanese Emperor and Chinese Prime Minister? Rookie protocol mistakes? there seem to be an awful lot of them. How about sitting in pastor Jeremiah Wrights “America got what it deserves” church for 20 years, or Michelle Obama saying after Barak’s election, “For the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country.” Perhaps it’s the company he keeps, like his initial campaign kickoff in terrorist Bill Ayres home - you do know about Bill Ayres right; he’s just that wacky college professor who lived down the street from Barak. Why, Barak was only 3 when Ayres was bombing police stations and federal buildings, chanting down with America.
So forgive those of us who harbor the belief that this President falls well short of what we want in a leader - forgive us for having formed an impression of this man that is less than patriotic.

Trust me, it has NOTHING to do with his race. I don’t care what color you are as President, so long as I can see Red White and Blue.
