Today President Obama is traveling to Ground Zero to commemorate the killing of Osama Bin Laden. What is President Obama's purpose in going to Ground Zero if he could not be bothered to meet or invite all the 9/11 families who lost loved ones there? Many families are devastated and saddened about being left out and do not understand why that occurred. I was at Ground Zero on September 11th, 2009 and can emphatically state that not one family member is ever denied access to that sacred area. Numbers or space is not an excuse for turning away family members that have sacrificed and endured the loss of their loved ones this past ten years.
The Obama representative responded that "In consultation with the National 9/11 Memorial staff, we invited a group of 9/11 family members who we believe represents a cross section of family members from various 9/11 organizations. The President looks forward to spending time visiting with the families of those who were tragically killed on 9/11." Well, Mr. President, not all the families just the ones handpicked. At least the family members should be allowed to come to Ground Zero to be recognized, especially if the President is going to say a few words.
Those left out include the mom of a ten year old boy who was invited as well as the husband of an elderly couple that have gone to every 9/11 event together. The Obama representative was contacted by Americanthinker.com and he responded that if given the names he would correct the mistake. A few hours later the couple called me to inform me they were allowed to come.

Sending a blanket email invitation says a lot about the low-class aspect of the current administration
Sheesh. They were too lazy to type up a hard copy, address it to the individual families and overnight mail it to them?
VJ has been keeping a very low profile lately.
Here she is with what appears to be Anita Dunn.

I was hoping for a obama got osama tee shirt so I could step on it, smear it with dirt and send it to the white house.
Thanks for the pics. I miss him!
No, go back to knowing exactly what he's (make that the puppetmaster) is doing. They consistently try to get away with as much as they can, thinking the press has their back (a fair assumption on their part) and only make small concessions when cornered. Note well they only added that couple and didn't say "what were we thinking, of course all the families are welcome."
Kurt Horning, a NJ resident whose son died in the attacks, says that he’ll tell the president the sea burial Bin Laden received was too good, “He was washed and wrapped and buried at sea after prayers were read and thousands of people from the World Trade Center are in a garbage dump in Staten Island.”
However, Debra Burlingame, whose brother was a pilot in one of the planes that hit the WTC, told Politico, “There is a growing controversy right now, as we speak, over the whole manner in which the White House is doing this,” saying that the president is “using families in what is a transparent political ploy.” She did “root” for Obama when he announced Bin Laden’s death, but “This is wrong, and I dont know if they even understand it.”
Schumer can take a flying leap. Obama had NOTHING to do with this. Just President at the right time.
Away: U.S. President Barack Obama waves before he departs the White House aboard Marine One bound for New York today
Speaking to the New York Daily News, a highly placed Bush insider said: 'He doesn't feel personally snubbed and appreciates the invitation, but Obama's claiming all the credit and a lot of other people deserve some of it.
'Obama gave no credit whatsoever to the intelligence infrastructure the Bush administration set up that is being hailed from the left and right as setting in motion the operation that got Bin Laden.
'It rubbed Bush the wrong way.'
The President has steered clear of even mentioning the Bush team's efforts to capture Bin Laden, only hinting at the previous administration when he said: 'Over the last 10 years, thanks to the tireless and heroic work of our military and our counter-terrorism professionals, we've made great strides.'
Bush was name checked only once during Sunday night's historic speech, when he added: 'I've made clear, just as President Bush did shortly after 9/11, that our war is not against Islam.'
Obama had invited Bush to today's ceremony, a gesture Bush turned down.
Speaking to the paper, another source said Bush felt the invitation: 'was for the benefit of Obama, and Obama withheld credit from people Bush believes deserved it.'
Two thoughts:
Why is this the first time since becoming President he is visiting Ground Zero? Didn’t suit any political purpose before?
and
Guess his handlers are making him use a wreath this time so that he doesn’t throw the rose onto the memorial like it was a heap of garbage (instead of “lay” the rose down on the memorial as all others attendees did (Bloomberg, McCain, Cindy McCain, etc.). Frankly, I'm surprised they didn't include an invitation to donate to Zero's re-election fund in the email.
Vigiano brothers - John Jr., a firefighter, and Joe, a policeman
Parents - father who survived throat cancer.
As this pos person continues to bask in the reflected glory of our SEALs I am filled with such despair.
Does it look like the right heel on his shoe is larger than the one on his left?
Thanks for the photos
Thanks for the photos
I noticed that immediately.
