At 60 years of age one realizes riches for riches sake is not where it's at. Yes, I think he's in it to redeem his name, and to make him a source of pride for his children. He knows he will die in a few decades, he wants something for posterity.

That does not reassure me. If he is desperate to clear his name, he may be willing to take.short cuts with the truth.
